Eden has excellent medical care facilities that provide quality care to Concho County and the surrounding area, including a hospital, wellness center, pharmacy, clinic, nursing home, and resident dentist.
Concho County Hospital
Concho County Hospital is located in Eden and staffed with two licensed physicians. The Level 4 Trauma designated hospital and health clinic located across the street are very capable at solving typical medical situations, offering quality diagnoses and referrals, which typically go to medical facilities in San Angelo, Austin, San Antonio, or Houston. The doctors in Eden have an excellent reputation as geriatric specialists.
The hospital provides a variety of outpatient services, including lab work, radiology, and CT scans. A MedEvac helicopter is also available for emergency situations. The Hospital's Health & Wellness Center offers gym equipment to all residents of Concho County. Inside, residents have access to an indoor track, strength training equipment, and cardio equipment.
Concho Health and Rehabilitation Center
The Concho Health and Rehabilitation Center is a skilled Medicare nursing home facility offering a home atmosphere with modern accommodations. Licensed staff are on duty 24 hours a day with a registered nurse on duty 7 days a week. Physical therapy and Alzheimer's care are also available. There is a beauty shop in-house. The facility is located across the street from the Concho County Hospital.
Frontera Healthcare Network
Frontera Healthcare Network is headquartered in Eden and operates clinics in four surrounding counties: Menard, Mason, McCulloch, and Kimble. Frontera offers pharmacies, women's and behavioral health services, immunizations, physicals, lab and x-rays, and physician referrals. They accept most forms of insurance as well as Medicare, Medicaid, and CHIP.
